"Our lives are like a candle in the wind."
Our life is like a candle. Though, it's message is simple; it is also in many ways complex. Our lives are so like candles; our flames tremble at the slightest lick of wind. When we are strong our flame burns intensely bright but after the wick has burned down to it's end our flame begins to flutter until finally the light is gone. Sometimes the flame is snubbed by a cold breeze and other times it seems as though it has been burning forever. Though most importantly is the knowledge that life is so frail, that ones flame can go out without warning. Life is so imperative and worth protecting we must be sure to close the shutters and turn of the fans and keep our flames safe. Carl Sandburg wrote many fascinating poems and novels. His words were very wise.
